The Last Call for AJ7EF - Jeff was held on Tuesday evening, moderator was N7EMB - Angie.  If you click on the picture of Jeff in the Silent Key section, it will take you to about 70 pictures of Jeff that I selected from over 200 that I had taken over the years.  We are going to miss him.

In other news, AB6Z - Tom is leaving Tucson with his XYL and returning to Mississippi.  Seems that the DHS has done some political shifting around.  I hope that Tom and Sonia have a chance to return to Tucson soon.

We had 11 this morning.  I guess Field Day had something to do with it.  I know that Bruce had a work project today, but I don't know about some of the others.  We'll find out next week. Yeah, we were missing a bunch of "Bobs"!  And I almost forgot, Vourneen came in without Ray!  Ray had his electronic pain implant successfully put in place and is in TMC.  Good news!

AJ7EF - JEFF JASTER (SK)
On Wednesday morning, 15 June 2011, Jeff was found with his wife in their midtown Tucson home and both were dead.  We are going to miss Jeff with his comic antics and over sized heart.  Jeff would do anything to help you, first to volunteer for anything and the last to leave when there was work to be done.  This tragic event will affect us all and those of us who knew Jeff well are going to miss him dearly.  You may have noticed that Jeff has not been appearing at breakfast for several months.  I'm almost positive that he had been suffering with severe depression for some time.  If only we could have known! In truth, we may never know until that fateful day. And, I'm confident that it will always be this way.  May God have mercy.

On Tuesday evening at 7:50 PM, there will be a "Last Call" for Jeff on all BART frequencies with the exception of 224.74.  Please listen up and make your self know for roll-call.  As for Jeff and his wife Norren, try to remember:

"Judge not lest ye be judged." (The Gospel according to St. Matthew 7)

When time allows, I will have a tribute page for Jeff and all of the pictures I have taken of him.

We had 22 this morning.  Quite a crowd!

Says he's been gone for a year!  No way!  Wears those great fitting Hollister shirts, remember?
Well, I do!  Glad she's back.  We'll be looking forward for her to take care of our table for sure!  Here's an example!  PS:  Guess who showed up at the SADXA DX club meeting at Coco's on Broadway!

AB6Z - Tom and XYL Sonia
Very pleasant this morning but it's gonna' get warm.  Everybody is buzzing about "What they gonna' do for Field Day?" Everything's on fire!  Here's Tom again, but this week he brought his XYL, Sonia, all the way from Mississippi.  Welcome to Jerry Bob's.  I think we had 20 today!  Not much else to report.  Some of the folks went to a gun show down on Irvington.  That's about it.

Now here's a guy we haven't seen in a while.  Glad to see you're back Tom.  Looks like we had 20 today!  Thanks to KC9ORD who took several pictures, however, he seemed enamoured with Bob - KE7YTF.  You know, like when you go into one of those picture taking booths at the fair?  And, John - W2CRS has returned from the East.

KB7USN - Bob

I can't believe that it's Memorial weekend already.  The ice broke on the Rillito River yesterday, as Michael Goodrich use to say, it turned 100.  Going to be warm today too.  Thanks to Mike - KC9ORD for taking pictures from the other side of the table.  You did good!  Also, it was good to see Bob - KB7USN.  It's been a while.  We had
19 today!  Just worked the NI7IW Memorial Special Event on the USS Midway in San Diego.  Chuck - N7UQ is a guest operator for the special event station today.  Worked 'em on 7.250.

Ah yes, the cool weather continues.  I'm thinking that it's NOT the end of the world yet but we'll have to wait until 6:00 PM to make sure.  We had
17 attending this morning.  A nice group this morning but I think that Don - NO7P had a rough night.  What do you think?  As you can see, Mr Antenna was showing off his work this morning.  Interesting 2 meter antenna design, no?  What's that line in front of Bob's face below?  I'm getting lazy using the same format as last week for the picture positions.

Beautiful morning.  Must have been a busy day for folks.  We were missing several regulars.
Haven't seen Jerry for a while either.  How did I miss Rick and
Scotty?
By the way, we have a new Great Grand Son, Dakota Jase Robertson!
Sarah, our youngest grandaughter, gave birth to this handsome guy on Monday, 25 April 2011. (See below)

Another beautiful day in paradise!  We had 16 attending this morning.  Almost back to the normal crowd but still short a couple of regulars.  I think some might have been going to KB5B's ham radio yard sale.  Bruce and I went over and kicked the UofA repeater in the butt and it's working again on Echolink.  Look at the fresh face that showed up.  I didn't know they had hams that young!  On another note, does KD7UIZ ever change?

Saturday,16 April 2011

Beautiful this morning.  There's a little haze from dust stirred up yesterday, but it's nice.  Where'd everybody go.  Maybe they're going to the today and didn't feel like getting up early. Hey, have you see the new Oro Valley Amateur Radio Club logo? Is that a mal-nourished long nosed pig, or what?   We only had 10 this morning. Oh, by the way, there's a picture of Saipan that my son took this past week with his phone!  Looks pretty nice there!

Ok, what happened to the nice WX?  Oh well, the TV says it'll be back to normal by Monday!  Check out the cool shades! Seems like these folks are creatures of habit.  From week to week, they're not far from being in the same place at the table and appear about the same place in the pictures.  We had  18 this morning.
