Man, it's pretty chilly this morning !  Take a look at the antenna farm
on Mt. Lemmon !  Click the picture to enlarge.   We had a great
turnout considering the WX and to top it off, Pink even got there
before we ordered !  We're missing Richard because he says his
driveway was frozen solid and it was too slick to get out.  He's
looking for some of that Boston rock salt !

Had to turn on the defrosters this morning.  We had a pretty good crowd but we
missed a couple regulars.  Definitely woulda' been an overspill, the table was full !

As you will see, Santa showed up and was acting a bit silly, as was one of his
reindeer.  I don't know his name, but his initials are J-E-F-F !  Too early for eggnog !

I was hoping that ZS6JBJ & KG6ILA would have showed, but that's OK.  Nice WX
to sleep in.  We're missing Lee & Nancy too !
 

We had a large group this morning along with a couple of special guests.  We had
our normal long table and spill over to what had been the "Round Table Gang"
table.  I hope everyone gets to meet John - ZS6JBJ from South Africa.  John is
visiting his son Ian who lives in Corona De Tucson.  He presented Richard and
myself with a genuine South African hat.  We're hoping that he will be a regular
to our breakfast at Jerry Bobs and John intends to attend the U of A radio club
get together at the Home Town Buffet this coming Thursday evening.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving !!

Looks like the rain might be over for a while.  I need a couple of sunny & warm
days so's I can get the Christmas lights up ... sigh... it'll be here in two shakes of
a lambs tail ! Now, there's an old expression !   We had a very nice group this
morning with Tango showing up with Stan, Basil & Betty driving from the other
side of Tucson and Adam & Gracie were here as well.
  

There we were, sitting there waiting for our breakfast when a couple walked in and
wanted to know if we were hams !  Seems like they are visiting Tucson from
Albuquerque.  I guess they were wondering where all the hams were.  Now they've
found some.  So, Steve & Darla, welcome to Tucson.  Albuquerque always
reminds me of Bugs Bunny's famous quote: "I knew I shouda' made that
left turn in Albuquerque !!"

Arriving late was Walt - WB4LDS and YL Patty, arriving on a very new Harley !!
  

Another beautiful morning...needed a sweater or jacket...and we had a pretty nice
group.  If I'd have known that Lloyd was returning, I would have printed out a copy
of his picture from last week. Hey !!  Look who we have below !!

 

Don - KD7UIZ sent me these pictures taken at Jethro's  on Prince Rd.  They seemed
to have a pretty good time there too !!

It was quite chilly this morning with the temp down to 35 or so at my house. 
We had nice group of 18 or so with a few new faces which included a
prospective ham who is visiting Stan - WE7DOG.  As you will see, he is (was)
a Navy jock.  And included is an "Old Timer" , ROY, who retired from the
USAF about 40 years ago !  Snowbird Glenn - WA9GCK is back too !

I couldn't sit near a Navy Jock without swapping some war stories and the C-123
"Defoliating" aircraft came up.  Here is a picture of a famous C-123 appropriately
named "PATCHES".   These guys had to fly at tree-top level and if you look closely,
you'll see a lot of red patches; some heart shaped.  Also, here's a shot of the
ancient F-102's that I was working on in 1964 when these were taken at Ton Son
Nuit AB, RVN.  In the background you can see an old C-124 "Shaky" MAC work-
horse.  Them were the days all right !  I walked by that Patches many
times on the way to & from the flight-line !  Wonder why I was looking so mean !

Well that's it !  We shattered the record with 28 attending this morning.  The local
crew didn't know what to do with everybody so it ended up with a couple at the
front counter and three at a separate table up front.  Anyway, Larry - KC2FMH
is back in town from Prague and we also had a new face or two as shown.

Wow ! What a beautiful morning.  We had the tables full today so it must have
something to do with the WX.  Cliff - KD7ZBP, PSB (Professional Snow Bird)
is in town and says not to forget the upcoming fest in Quartsite !  He says lots
of hams show up for that event.  Cliff, is that the Gold Rush in November ?

Anyway, it was a very good group with new shirts and all.  Sorry you missed it !

There were two for breakfast, myself and Don - NO7P and as we left to go to the
swap meet, John - W3CIV walked in.  Better late than never.

sponsored ham fest & swap meet for the year.  I'm sure you'll recognize a few of
the folks that showed up this year...for sure ! 

At the very bottom are pictures taken by Tom - W7ZBS at the Wednesday
Village Inn on Grant & Tanque Verde ham lunch.  Also, there's a couple
from Jack - W7NOG to prove that I was actually there !!  In addition to that,
there are three pictures from Wally - KB7GAI.

Wally - KB7GAI wanted me to attend another event, but I just couldn't make it
since I had to get right home and get my internet restored.  Sorry Wally !

And...oh yeah...don't forget the in the park tomorrow !!!

New faces !!  New ham !  It might have been cloudy this morning, but it was a great
breakfast group (as usual).  Jim - W8GRI made it along with some new old hams !
