It was cold again this morning.  I'm ready for the end of winter as we
hung around outside except for W1KSZ who still has Boston blood
flowing in his veins !  He thinks it's spring !

For whatever reason, Trixi didn't want her
picture taken, so I took one anyway !

So, Glen - WA9GCK, can't you afford an American car that will
turn off the lights automatically ?

Brrrrr!  It was 27 when I left the house this morning.  I figured there would
be a shortage of personnel, but there was a pretty good group in spite of
the cold.  A few of the regulars were missing, but that's OK!

On my way home I stopped by Jack's - W7NOG place for a moment and
took a picture of him in his command pilot position.  He says he wishes
that he could make the breakfast but he has to stick pretty close to the
house most of the time.  I hope that everyone has a great Christmas !!!

The UAZ Radio club sponsored a Christmas get-together at the
Home Town Buffet and invited members of the RST and the BART
to attend.  Thanks to Bruce - WA1BZQ and others who promoted
the event, we had a great time with good food and friends.

Man !  It was a blustery, rainy morning and I figured that the crowd would be
pretty small.  Well, I was wrong !  A little Arizona liquid sunshine wouldn't

A very beautiful Tucson morning, kind of cool but it soon warmed
up and the jackets and sweaters were removed.  We had a new
face this morning too.  We had a good group of folks and a good
time was had by all.  Dave - W7AKQ was back from snow bird

This afternoon, 27 October 07, Lee and I had a qso with Doug - VK5LC on IRLP and Skype.  He was telling us that he had been
hatching guinea fowl chicks and we were swapping stories about
the amazing birds that are pretty smart, great guard birds and, to
top it off, good to eat !!  Anyway, he sent me three pictures of himself
and family along with the little chicks !!  It's spring in Australia !!

What a fantastic beautiful morning for a ham swap meet.  Four of us
managed to make it to Jerry Bob's for an early breakfast before heading
out to the O.P.R.C. sponsored hamfest down by the old Kino Hospital on
Ajo Way.  There was quite a turnout and some good stuff to look at & buy.

The best thing about a swap meet is meeting all the folks that you haven't
seen since last year !!  All in all, it was a success !
