Voice over IP Instructions
for the 146.94 Repeater
(Available on 224.74 and 448.350 also)

Using the VoIP modes available on the 149.94 repeater are easy to use and require simple protocol to operate
successfully.  The key words are "DELAY, DELAY, DELAY",
a few seconds after connecting to check for traffic on the
other end, a couple of seconds after PTT before speaking, and a couple of seconds after speaking before dropping the PTT.   Other than that, it's just like using the local repeater...well, gee, you ARE using the local repeater.

Note:  Don't be discouraged if your DTMF doesn't seem
to work.  Conditions have to be pretty exact for reliable
operation.  Try another rig, or ask someone to assist you.

.
There are two IRLP, two Echolink
and two WIRES nodes on the BART !

NOTE:  Node 3033 (K7IOU) instructions are identical, but
requires a "B" prefix on all commands.

IRLP is accessed by DTMF and all nodes are 4 digits.  Click on the IRLP logo above and you will find a "NODE INFO" link which you can use to display all of the available IRLP nodes in the world.

Key up and announce your intensions and then DTMF the 4 digit node number.  The IRLP system will respond with a connect message or let you know if the connection was unsuccessful.  If unsuccessful, there is no need to disconnect.

To disconnect, just hit DTMF "73" and listen for the disconnect message.

That's all there is to it.  In summary:

XXXX the node number to connect.
9990 to activate the Echo Reflector (Listen to your audio)
73 to disconnect.

.

NOTE:  Node 22474 (K7IOU) requires a star * prefix to
connect and a ## to disconnect

Echolink is accessed with DTMF the same as IRLP.
However, Echolink node numbers range from 4 to 6
digits in length.  In order to separate IRLP and
Echolink, you must prefix the number with two zeros,
e.g., 00-XXXX.  You may check the Echolink status
with "BB".  The Echolink system will announce that
either if it is connected or not.  After DTMFing a node,
if your connect is successful, you will hear a connect message.  If you hear e.g., "WB9TPD Link Not Found",
it means that the node you dialed is not on line.  You
can click on the Echolink logo for much more info.

In summary:

00+Node Number to connect.
BB for Echolink status
009999 to activate the Echolink echo reflector.
* (star) to disconnect.

.

Wires is similar to the other nodes with the exception that
all Wires nodes include the "#" sign and end with a "D".
For example, DTMF #1129D will reach WA6RQD in
Oceanside, California.  You will hear a synthesized
voice say what node number you are connected to, or
if unsuccessful, five (5) beeps.  To disconnect, DTMF
#9999D or #99999.  You should hear four (4) quick
beeps when it disconnects.  Click on the logo for more
info.

In summary:

#XXXXD to connect.
#9999D or #99999 to disconnect.
#66666 for Wires status.
