THE SIMPSONS




Memorial Day, 2005 found Mom and I at a family gathering of the Simpsons at Kathy's
home in Casey, Illinois.  I say the "Simpsons" even most of them have taken married
names (the girls of course), however, the "Simpsons" are who I grew up with more
than a half century ago...sounds like we're old....and to me, they are and always will be

THE SIMPSONS !

Above is a picture of Ed Simpson.  It's too bad that Jim, Jack & Ilene weren't here so that
I could have chatted with them as well.  What fun it was to remember the good times
that I had playing with them when we lived just over a quarter of a mile apart, beginning
in the spring of 1946 and ending when I left home and joined the USAF in 1958. 

 See if you can find Ed and I in this 1950-51 5th & 6th class
picture taken at the Hazel Dell School, Hazel Dell, Illinois.
