26 December 2018 

The Slusser Family had a great Christmas having Jesse Sam coming from Marble Falls and Niece Teresa Garrett and her daughter, Hailey came all the way from Decatur, IL for Christmas and New Years.  Then, we ended up with another family member, Justin's son Zaine, so overall, it was pretty good.  Here's some pictures of Christmas Day and the chaos that occured. 

What a nice Thanksgiving we had at Sarah & Justin's.  Mimi and Sarah did a fine job the food was delicious. Talked to James up in Alaska too.  It don't get much better than that! What a great idea, put a paper tablecloth on that the kids, big and little, can color on.  What fun.
 

Happy Birthday, Shirley!  I didn't even get a picture of the candles being blown out.  Played dominoes, as usual, and even made her scoop the icecream cause someone's shoulder was out of commission.  Wonder who's?
  

What a beautiful wedding for Justin & Sarah.  They planned on it for over a year and it went well.  Brothers James and Jesse came for the celebration, James all the way from Alaska, Jesse, along with Johanna and James' girlfiend Lindsey, drove in from Texas.  Not only that, a long-time Facebook friend of Sarah's came from Quebec, Canada for the wedding.  Stephanie and Sarah became friends during their pregancy, meeting on a future mom's site.  She promised she would come for Sarah's wedding, and she did! What fun!  Here are a few of the many pictures.

A year has gone by already.  Instead of James graduating, it was the youngest grandson, Jesse, who did it.  Congratulations, Jesse! And guess who showed up as a suprise, brother James!  All was good. 

I had the camera cleaned and it made a great difference in the pictures.  I had no idea it was so dirty. You can see some of the contamination in the "before" picture.

Also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Lindsey!

Wow! A birthday bash for Dakota (#7) and Kai (#3) at their house! What a time with a jumping castle and a load of presents.  Happy Birthday, Dakota and Kai!

Something is amiss with my camera, some pictures didn't focus properly.  It needs some cleaning, maybe?

Guess who had a birthday party at Nanny & Poppy's...it's KAI NOAH.  Happy 3rd Birthday.  Now, you're a big boy, right?
 

Mr. Smith receives his 50 year Masonic Pin.  Quite a ceremony put on by the local lodge.

Here we go again.  Dakota's 2nd Grade School Picture.  Growing fast, now.  Also, they had a good time Easter Sunday too!

Finally!

As far as a Pinewood Derby is concerned, I think it was 1974, way back when I was Cubmaster of the RAF Bentwaters/Woodbridge Cub Scout Pack 811 of the Transatlantic Council of England.  Things have changed with the nice aluminum racing track with computer timing and logging.  The cars are about the same but the imaginations of the dads and moms who helped their Cubs and Weablos get their cars ready has grown.  Anyway, Dakota's entry didn't win, but it won the Best Paint Job award. Congratulations, Dakota and Daddy.  In addition to that, Dakota won a RC Truck for selling the  most popcorn for the Scout Fund Raiser a while back.  Good job, Dakota, well....Daddy had a hand in it by selling a bunch at work.
