The mornings are a bit cooler now and the temperature was about 60 when I left home. Nice. And then we had
two long lost souls show up. I couldn't believe it when I saw Tom - KB7XL sitting there after how long?

was taken 7 February, so it's been that long. You'll have to decide
if he has changed much. Also, John - KE5AAA came to visit after a long absence and that was good.

missed again today, still dodging the swine flu. Several others were on
the missing list, too many to post. Two of the three Bobs were missing too. Oh well, that means less crowded
conditions.

It was a beautiful morning, however, we didn't have a record breaking crowd at Jerry Bob's this morning. Seventeen
managed to drag themselves out of bed. I'm wondering what happened to . He hasn't missed many
breakfasts. was not here and neither was or . I think they are dodging
the H1N1. Somebody else was missing. Somehow I missed Don must have been preaching.
We had a good group anyway.

No new faces today, so who will I feature? Hmmmm, let's see....I could use bright & shiny Mike - KC9ORD, but
since I'm doing the web page, I'll pick.....

Saturday, 12 September 2009 The previous record was tied at 28. Lee and Pink waited until they thought they had a chance, but we lacked only one who didn't show so the free breakfast didn't get served. Anyway, we did have new faces and one old face that only shows up when he makes the trip down from Sparks/Reno every six months or so and that gives him special billing. It was a good crowd and we're sorry that wasn't our server this morning I guess I don't understand the politics of Jerry Bob's. And guess who else didn't make it. , we hope all is well with you.

QST QST QST

Believe it or not, we broke the long standing record at Jerry Bob's this morning. The official count was:
28
KD7UIZ announced that the person that is #30 will receive a free breakfast. I don't know
when or if that will happen, but I'll bet that the free breakfast will go to and if you can't
figure it out ask somebody ! Hi hi ! Pink, we missed you. You woulda' been # 29 ! Yes, Pink,
I remember that you told me you wouldn't make it this morning. In any case, I will up the ante and I
will buy breakfast for number 29. Hear that Pink? We missed . Where were you?

In addition to breaking the attendance record, we had a couple new faces, and both are prospective
hams, invited to breakfast by KF7AOL . I hope I got the names right. Manny, correct
me if I'm wrong. Manny's dad, told me this morning that he has really enjoyed the
breakfasts and the folks that come. As Lee 'Lectric says, "We're having fun and that's what it's all
about!"

I almost forgot, says that everybody is invited to his house for a KEG PARTY now that the
XYL is out of town. I'll see you all there this evening. What time does it start, Chris?

Another beautiful day in the neighborhood. You know, this is the last Saturday in the month and this is the
5th breakfast of the month. That doesn't happen very often. Anyway, we were a bit early this morning because

Saturday, 22 August 2009 Nice cool morning after the rain, just a bit different than normal. We had a big crowd with a few special guests. For example we had Manny - KF7AOL who was the RST Field Day hero operator, staying up all night while all the old farts slept. Manny is being mentored by Bob - KE7YTF and they are putting up a J-Pole for Manny this morning. And we were blessed with the presence of the Buchanans who only make it a couple times a year. Yes, Angie, it was six months ago. I guess if you only show up every six months, you get special billing. John - W3CIV is back from Mt. Lemmon but says he's going up there again.

Saturday, 15 August 2009 I guess this has been the month for birthdays. For you no-code extras out there it says: 69 WD7F. That means that I had a birthday today. We've had Richard - W1KSZ , Vourneen - KB7CRT and Bruce - WA1BZQ this month. I'm getting close to being "OLD" and Shirley already is convinced because she tells me that every day. Myself, Richard - W1KSZ, Lee - WB9TPD and K1LWI - Wendell were all born in the same year. The table was full again today and as you will see, some came fully armed just in case somebody caused trouble. You will find that Two Bobs, Pink and Basil (Betty's gun) were packing heat. Those were just the ones I knew about. So, here's the warning: Don't be coming to Jerry Bob's and causing trouble ! You'll get more than you bargained for ! You be too heavy to walk carrying so much lead.

As I was saying, you had better behave in this crowd. I think that the "Hog leg" that Pink was carrying is bigger than she. Maybe we'll have a quick draw contest one of these Saturdays.

Here we are, AUGUST ! Christmas is just around the corner. Anyway, guess who walked out of the house without his camera?
Dunno', but his initials are WD7F ! Anyway, Bruce called Lee and he saved my bacon again and brought his camera. He did
that a couple three years ago when I forgot. So, thanks Lee. We had a pretty good group. I think Bruce said there were 23 this
morning, but if I counted from the pictures correctly, there were 24. Quite a big group. If everybody shows up, we're gonna'
take over the whole place !
Since nobody got a good shot of Stan the Party Man, I used one from last week. He was much more clear headed last week anyway. Quite a good bunch and we also had a new face. His call is close to my first call, KD7XE. How about that ?

We had pretty special guests this morning with Stan - WE7DOG, his daughter Melanie and grandson Noah !
Pictures below, of course. John - W3CIV is back but only for a short time and is returning back east soon.

Seems like someone is always missing. , and were not here this
morning, however, Tom - W7ZBS, Bob - KE7WIS and Cheree have returned. Not much else to report except
that....THE REPEATER FROM HELL (146.96) is back at the U of A Engineering building. Whew ! I'm glad !

Saturday, 18 July 2009 Wow ! We had a large group this morning. I think AQK said that nobody must have gone to Williams. Anyway, there were 23 there this morning with one new face, and one that's been missing for a long long time. Let's see if we can get them all documented right. To our disappointment, we had a couple missing from the normal group: , and were missing. Hope they are all OK. John - CIV is missing, but he's has an excused absence since he's on a vacation trip ! I guess it's summer and here's the first one of these that we've been able to grow since we have lived here in Tucson. It's growing in a big pot and it takes a lot of water to make one of these. I guess that's why they grew pretty good back in the mid west where it rains often enough. DL2PAN - Andre took a vacation near London and sent Basil - KB7KKU and myself postcards, as you can see below, however, Basil's is still in his pocket. WOW ! 62P for postage !

Here is the new one that came with W7AQK. Also showing up was the long lost WB7NXB and even KC9MH was here ! K7DRT has that big tower out on Old Spanish Trail !

Summer is here !!! The group was a bit short this morning. I suppose it's too hot to get out and about now !

It seems like Bob had visited the Tanque Verde Swap meet and picked up this plate. How unusual since it's
the call of Oliver Grieve - W7AFC who passed away a while back. I suppose there's a story behind the plate
showing up at the swap meet. Who knows? Bob is going to attempt to contact his daughter since KD7UIZ - Don
says he has her address. Oh well.

Hey, you ain't gonna believe it but Ray & Vourneen lost out being first this morning. Turns out that Tom - W7ZBS
was up very early taking care of family business and showed up shortly after the place opened. How about that ?
